Any slim hopes Arsenal had of landing Achraf Hakimi appear to be at an end, thanks to Mauricio Pochettino and his PSG side.
Hakimi has been on the radar of the Gunners for some time now. With Hector Bellerin facing an uncertain future, the Inter Milan star had emerged as a target.

Reports from Football.London in April suggested Arsenal were still keen on signing Hakimi. However, those links have cooled in recent times, with PSG and Chelsea emerging as frontrunners.
And any hopes Arsenal might have had of reigniting that interest appear to be at an end, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer guru has taken to Twitter to explain that Hakimi is awaiting an offer from PSG. It’s expected they’ll pay around £60m.
Hakimi is thought to earn around the £130k-a-week mark in Milan. PSG will have no issues in finding that money.
The Morroccan enjoyed a stellar campaign last season. As part of Antonio Conte’s title-winning side, he developed himself into one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe.
He hit seven goals and 11 assists in all competitions. But his future, it seems, now lies in Paris rather than in England.
Hakimi to PSG always likely, Arsenal now need to move on
This was always going to be tricky for Arsenal to do. As soon as the likes of PSG came into the picture with their big money, the Gunners were struggling.
£60m is also an awful lot of money for a right back. Arsenal have other areas of need at the moment, and if needed, Ben White can step in there if he does end up signing.
Hakimi will probably excel in Paris. His attacking prowess is excellent, while defensively he is sound after working with Conte.
For Arsenal, it’s just a case of moving on and looking at who else is on the market.
