Report: Tuchel willing to offer experienced duo to beat Arsenal to key summer signing

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, is willing to offer Inter Milan a number of players in order to beat the likes of Arsenal to the signing of Achraf Hakimi.

The Morroccan star is expected to leave Inter this summer. The Italian club are looking to ease their financial worries, and see the sale of Hakimi for around £60m as an easy get out.

Football.London claimed in April that Hakimi was one of the players Arsenal were looking to sign this summer. However, a report from Goal this weekend suggests it is Chelsea who are in the driving seat.

Goal suggests that Chelsea could offer Marcos Alonso and Davide Zappacosta to Inter as sweeteners. The Blues hope by offering the pair, Inter might lower the price on Hakimi.

Is It Harder To Win Than The Euros Than The World Cup?!

PSG are also circling around the former Real Madrid man. Hakimi enjoyed a stunning season last year. As an attacking full-back, he scored seven, and assisted a further ten as Antonio Conte’s men won the title.

Arsenal are keen on Hakimi due to Hector Bellerin facing an uncertain future at the club. Atletico Madrid are said to be keen on the Spanish right-back, as reported on TBR this month.

Chelsea will beat Arsenal to Hakimi, there’s no way he doesn’t play Champions League football

And this is an issue Arsenal are going to be facing all summer. They are interested in so many players, but they can’t offer top level European football.

For Hakimi, that is simply a must. He’s too good to not be playing in the elite competitions.

Chelsea hold the upperhand here, for sure. Their Champions League exploits speak for themselves. As does the size of their squad, which will now prove useful in bargaining.

In terms of Arsenal landing Hakimi, you can pretty much write it off. Arteta and Edu, then, will need to look elsewhere again.
