Report: Paratici wants to pay ‘almost nothing’ to bring British player to Tottenham

A report from Italian website TuttoJuve claims Fabio Paratici is keen on luring Aaron Ramsey to Tottenham Hotspur this summer. Paratici obviously struck a deal to sign Ramsey for Juventus in 2019. Now, he could put North London rivalry aside to get Ramsey – and wants to pay ‘almost nothing’.

Ramsey, 30, has endured a tricky time at Juventus since swapping Arsenal for the Old Lady on a free transfer. The 67-time Wales international has managed just six goals in 65 games for the Italian giants. Now, Juve are actively looking to sell Ramsey – and a move to Tottenham could happen.

That is, despite 371 matches for Arsenal during his career. Juve offered Ramsey about for £8.5million, as per Tutto Juve, but there were no takers. Paratici and Tottenham are keen, but are only willing to sign him if Spurs pay ‘almost nothing’. Ramsey’s stance on Tottenham remains unknown.

Could Ramsey be tempted by Tottenham – as Paratici eyes move?

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Tottenham could launch a move to sign Ramsey – and now it is clear Paratici wants him. But could Ramsey himself want a move to Spurs? He was loved by Arsenal fans during his 11-year stint with the Gunners. That opinion would change if he joined Spurs.

Though it would represent a return to North London, which is likely to prove appealing to Ramsey and his family – the rivalry is too big a hurdle. Tottenham could really do with a player like Ramsey, though, alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield. Paratici, of course, is capable of miracles.
