Spurs could now make a move for former Arsenal and now Juventus midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, this summer.

The Welshman is one of a number of players who Juve are open to letting go this summer. Ramsey is known to earn huge money in Turin, and the Italian club are looking to clear the decks a bit.

And according to TuttoJuve, as relayed by the Daily Mail, Spurs and Fabio Paratici could launch a move for Ramsey.

The midfielder is known in England for his time with Arsenal. Spurs’ North London rivals saw the best of Ramsey at times, with his goals and assists earning him that big move to Juventus.

But things haven’t gone quite as well as he’d have liked in Turin. Despite being in and around the first-team, he’s never quite cemented himself as a first XI regular.

Paratici, of course, knows Ramsey well from his Juventus days. Any move is likely to see the Welshman take a dip in his wages. He signed a £400k-a-week deal with the Italian giants back in 2019. That puts him on double the salary of Harry Kane.

Proven

While links to Arsenal will always raise some eyebrows, there’s no doubting Ramsey’s proven quality.

He gets goals, has played with some of the best in the world, and knows the Premier League well. And given he’s likely to be available at a knock-down price, he could be a good buy.

Of course, the wages need to come down. Spurs aren’t paying £400k-a-week, it’s just not happening. But if they can negotiate, and Ramsey fancies a return to London, then Spurs could do a lot worse here.
