Tottenham Hotspur have got the signing of Ivan Perisic over the line.

But if reports are true, Spurs could potentially be bringing another player from Inter Milan this summer.

Over the past few weeks, Tottenham have been linked with Alessandro Bastoni.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Antonio Conte wants Spurs to sign the 23-year-old for whatever the price.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport – via Sport Witness – recently claimed Inter are willing to sell Bastoni.

Now, Sport Witness has provided further updates on the current state of play, quoting reports from Italian sources.

Corriere della Sera has claimed there’s a good chance Bastoni could follow Perisic to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs ‘could soon take away Bastoni too’, claimed the outlet.

And in doing so, Inter would boost their transfer kitty by about €60m (£51m).

This would enable them to make a concrete approach for Gleison Bremer, who Torino value at up to €45m (£38.2m).

Meanwhile, FC Inter News have claimed that Conte has ‘surely’ got Bastoni in his sights.

In addition, Tottenham director Fabio Paratici has sent ‘unmistakable signals’ for the 23-year-old.

Could Spurs land Vertonghen 2.0?

It’s great to see Tottenham getting one big deal over the line before we’re even in June.

Could Spurs soon follow the Perisic signing with that of the incredibly talented Bastoni?

Bastoni is already established at the highest level, can develop much more, and plays on the left-hand side.

Furthermore, Conte and Bastoni worked together at Inter, the defender deeming his former boss ‘phenomenal‘.

Bastoni already has a Serie A title, an Italian Super Cup and a Euro 2020 winner’s medal.

Football.london has reported that some at Spurs see Bastoni as something of a successor to Jan Vertonghen.

He’d no doubt be an incredible signing for Tottenham.
