Nuno Espirito Santo is the favourite to take over as Crystal Palace manager, according to Sky Sports.
The Eagles have been in talks with the Portuguese manager over the last few days. The former Wolves man is keen on an immediate return to management.
However, the south Londoners aren’t the only club coveting the former Porto man with Tottenham Hotspur also linked with the 47-year-old.
Aside from Santo, Swansea City’s Steve Cooper remains highly regarded at Selhurst Park.
Other candidates include Patrick Vieira, Valerian Ismael and Frank Lampard. Thomas Frank is also a target, however, Brentford’s promotion could complicate matters.
Crystal Palace saw the back of Roy Hodgson, who left the club after four seasons. The outfit finished in 14th place under the Croydon-born man, 16 points clear of the relegation zone.

TBR View: Nuno will make better use of a promising attack
Under the stewardship of Hodgson, Palace’s threat in the final third has been pretty shocking.
Despite winning 2-1 away to Brighton, the outfit were thoroughly dominated by Graham Potter’s side. It was just one of many examples of struggle under the 73-year-old.
Nuno has suffered no such problems during his time with Wolves, producing free-flowing football on most ocassions.
The Midlanders enjoyed wins at home to Chelsea and Arsenal last season in entertaining encounters.
However, he does retain one of Hodgson’s key principles. Wolves have been notoriously hard to break down under the former Porto man’s reign.
His five-man defence is part of the reason the side finished seventh in back-to-back campaigns, qualifying for the Europa League.
And with the likes of Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha in attack, there is enough talent for Nuno to prove a success in south London.
Eze enjoyed a stellar debut season in the top-flight, whilst the Ivorian notched up 11 goals in the league.
Nuno’s record with attacking talents is better than Hodgson’s. Better use is needed of the players at Palace, and the Portuguese man could be the one to provide it.
