Newcastle United are prepared to offer £25.1 million in a bid to beat the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan to the signature of Sven Botman, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
Botman looks set to attract plenty of interest this summer. He was part of the Lille side that won the Ligue 1 title last season. And they are now gearing up for a Champions League last 16 tie with Chelsea this month.

Reports claimed that he was tempted to join the Magpies in January. However, the Dutchman ultimately stayed put.
Lille however, are likely to be inundated with offers when the summer window opens. AC Milan are ready to make a £21 million bid for the 22-year-old. The offer would see the French side net £16.7 million initially.

Previous reports stated that Botman has already agreed personal terms with Milan. But that is not the end of the story.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that Tottenham remain interested in signing the centre-back. The club want to sign at least one international level defender ahead of Antonio Conte’s first full season in North London.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are prepared to make the £25.1 million offer that will see Lille’s asking price for Botman met.
Juventus are also in the running.
Milan and Tottenham need to act swiftly with Newcastle ready to pay Botman fee
Botman looks to be a remarkable talent. Jose Fonte previously labelled him a ‘machine‘. And it is clearly going to be a coup for whichever club can secure his signature this summer.
Milan are clearly in a strong position. They reportedly have a contract ready to go, and Botman is keen on moving to San Siro. However, Lille could throw a spanner in the works.
They will be aware that Newcastle can spend big for almost anyone they want. And they are prepared to make a sizeable bid.
With that in mind, Tottenham and Milan surely need to act swiftly if they hope to snatch him from Newcastle’s grasp.
