Newcastle United are now considering making a £50 million bid for Mykhaylo Mudryk as they look to beat Arsenal to the signature of the Ukrainian, according to a report from I News.

Mudryk has become one of the most talked-about young players in Europe in recent weeks. He has shone for Shakhtar Donetsk, particularly in the Champions League.

He spoke at the weekend about moving to the Premier League in the future. And he has also suggested that he would not be able to say no to Arsenal if they made a bid.

The Gunners approached his representatives in the summer. And it appears that they remain admirers of the 21-year-old. Reports suggested that they scouted him when Ukraine faced Scotland last week.

But it may be Newcastle who look to make the big move to secure his signature. According to I News, the Magpies are considering making a £50 million bid for the winger.

Newcastle considering Mudryk bid

Newcastle have already made some major statements in the transfer market. Of course, it was during the last January transfer window that they managed to sign Bruno Guimaraes.

Bruno was a player linked with Arsenal amongst others before his big-money switch to Tyneside.

And Eddie Howe’s side went on to smash their transfer record on Alexander Isak in the summer. They are building an increasingly-impressive squad. And Mudryk would be another outstanding addition.

He has been described as a ‘serious talent‘. Mudryk is rapid and possesses a real eye for goal.

Pairing the youngster with Allan Saint-Maximin would give Newcastle an absolutely devastating partnership behind the striker.

It would send out a further message of intent if they did now manage to win the race.
