Jose Mourinho is prepared to give up everything to try and sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to a report from Il Messaggero.
Mourinho, of course, was in charge of Spurs when Hojbjerg arrived from Southampton back in 2020. And the Dane proved to be a very good signing. He was one of the few players to really emerge from last season with any sort of credit.

He has perhaps not been quite as impressive for a lot of this campaign. But it would appear that the Roma boss would like to be reunited with the 26-year-old this summer.
Il Messaggero reports Mourinho is keen to sign Hojbjerg from Tottenham at the end of the season. In fact, he is prepared to give up everything to bring him to the Italian capital.

It is noted that a move would be unlikely. Tottenham are likely to demand too much for Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg has big role to play for Tottenham judging by recent form
Hojbjerg has been a much more divisive figure amongst Tottenham fans this term. He had arguably been overshadowed by Oliver Skipp in the opening months of the season.
However, he looks to be much closer to his best under Antonio Conte. His partnership with Rodrigo Bentancur is starting to look like something with a serious amount of potential.
Conte labelled the pair ‘incredible‘ following their displays at Manchester City recently. And it does appear that Hojbjerg does indeed have a big role to play in the months ahead.
Perhaps he is a player Tottenham would consider big offers for this summer. But it is incredibly hard to imagine Hojbjerg ending the next window as a Roma player.
