Manchester United are pushing on with adding to their squad in the final week of the window and are once again looking to South America.
The Red Devils have already made a number of signings this summer including Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee.
Of course, we know United are also pushing to sign Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Ugarte is expected to complete a move to Old Trafford before the deadline.
However, it doesn’t look like United are stopping there and they’ve apparently made an approach to sign another South American midfielder.
Manchester United make move for Wolves-linked Andre
According to a report from Football Transfers, Manchester United are still assessing the market for options and have apparently made an approach for Andre.
It’s suggested that while Wolves feel they’re in the driving seat to sign Andre, United have also made an approach for the Brazilian.

Andre is still at Fluminese after seeing a number of moves to the Premier League breakdown already.
Fulham nearly signed Andre earlier in the summer but moved for Sander Berge instead, while Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Andre as well.
Any deal for the Brazilian is going to cost at least £25m but there is a belief that the midfielder does want the move to England, so a deal could be done before Friday.
Andre needs to be worth the wait
It feels like we have seen the name of Andre for some time so there’s now a feeling that he better be worth the wait as well.
When it comes to Manchester United, you’d have to question if they do need Andre as well as Ugarte.
They already have a plethora of centrally based midfielders and adding another to the pack simply makes Erik ten Hag’s job more difficult.
Andre is clearly a ‘special‘ talent but whether that translates to being good enough to help a club like United, remains to be seen.
