Manchester United want to sign Ismaila Sarr – who is also a target for their bitter rivals Leeds United – before the end of the transfer window.
Sarr scored a stunning goal from inside his own half for Watford last night (Monday) as they drew 1-1 with West Brom at the Hawthorns.
But he also missed a penalty which would have clinched all three points for his side, showcasing some of the inconsistency which has dogged his time in England so far.
90Min report that Erik ten Hag’s side are still looking for a forward after starting their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 home loss to Brighton.

Manchester United want Sarr
Reports recently claimed that Leeds want the £25 million-rated Senegal international, and a transfer tussle between the two sides could be set to start.
The transfer policy at Old Trafford does not seem quite clear and they have seemingly bounced towards Sarr after their pursuit of Marko Arnautovic reached a dead end.
Leeds could put together a package which made Sarr feel like more of a priority, and also that he would be joining a club with a clear philosophy.

Leeds could still do with a wide forward to help soften the blow of losing Raphinha before the transfer window closes.
Foot Mercato reports that Leeds remain keen on Cody Gakpo of PSV Eindhoven, who is also a target for Ten Hag, according to ESPN.
So that could be another transfer battle between the two bitter rivals, who did of course do business with each other over Dan James last summer.
