Manchester City are remaining firmly in the mix when it comes to the potential signing of Spurs target and Fiorentina striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
The impressive striker was a wanted man all summer long, with consistent rumours suggesting Spurs were going to make their move. Indeed, Vlahovic is said to still be on Fabio Paratici’s radar at Tottenham, with a £60m deal being mentioned again in recent days.

But Calciomercato have now claimed that Manchester City are also in the running for Vlahovic and could well rekindle their own summer interest.
Options
City boss Pep Guardiola was desperate to sign Harry Kane in the summer. A deal, as we know, never materialised. It means City do need to have other irons in the fire, with Vlahovic a viable alternative.
After hitting 21 Serie A goals last season, Vlahovic already has three in three this term for La Viola. Naturally, if that form continues, his reputation will continue to blossom.
From there, it would see the likes of City, Spurs and Juventus battle it out for his signature.
TBR’s View: Vlahovic could be even better than Kane for City
Especially if they only pay around £60m for the Serbian star.
The upside to Vlahovic could well outweigh that of Kane. Yes, we all know Kane has proven quality and is a world-class player at Premier League level.
But Vlahovic has age on his side. And in fairness to him, he certainly knows where the back of the net is. With Tottenham and Daniel Levy likely to play hardball over Kane again next summer, Dusan Vlahovic could well be ideal for City and Guardiola.
