Manchester City star Bernardo Silva may reportedly leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, amid links with Spanish title winners Atletico Madrid.

According to the Athletic, it is “possible” that the 26-year-old may go during the current transfer window as he looks for a change of scenery.

The report explains that the Portugal international wants to leave and that he previously “had his heart set” on a move to Barcelona last summer before a deal fell through.

Despite the fact Man City boss Pep Guardiola is reluctant to lose the creative playmaker, a transfer has not been ruled out.

Additionally, France Football reported earlier this month that La Liga champions Atletico wants to try bring Silva to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Aged 26, Silva should be entering his prime years.

He’s a skilful attacking midfielder that was key in the recent league season.

The £150,000-a-week left-footer ended the campaign with five goals and nine assists across all competitions. Furthermore, his flexibility to swap between a central midfielder and a right-winger showed why he’s perfect under Guardiola.

Bernardo Silva would be significant Manchester City exit

It’s unclear on if Silva will leave Man City, but fans should pray he doesn’t.

The 5ft 8in playmaker is a talented playmaker.

He’s not always been a nailed-on starter under Guardiola. However, he’s vital when he plays, and has won three Premier League titles during four seasons at the Etihad.

It will be interesting to see where he’s playing next season.
