Leeds United may have received a potential boost in their reported pursuit of Josip Brekalo, with Kicker reporting that many of his admirers do not have the funds to sign the winger this summer.
As noted by Kicker, the queue forming to secure the Croatian’s signature seems to be growing all the time.

The German outlet lists three La Liga sides and two Serie A outfits keen on landing the Wolfsburg man.
His club are open to selling him. However, they want a fee of around £12.75 million for the 23-year-old.
And it is claimed by Kicker that most of the sides interested in the winger would have to decline the opportunity to sign him at that price for financial reasons.

That could potentially be good news for Leeds. Previous reports claimed that the Whites want Brekalo.
It is not clear of what they may make of his asking price. But it would appear that if they are prepared to offer £12.75 million, they may not face as much competition as they would have previously thought.
Leeds’ need to sign Brekalo may have increased after pre-season friendly
Admittedly, Marcelo Bielsa will probably not be reading too much into Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Blackburn on Wednesday.
Certainly, it is hard to imagine any decisions being made off the back of one performance at Ewood Park.
However, there is no getting away from the fact that Helder Costa endured a tough evening.
He was deployed in a different role. But he did not manage to make the most of his opportunity.
So the result will probably strengthen some fans’ resolve that Leeds need further quality in wide areas.
And with Brekalo not commanding an eye-watering fee, some may feel that Leeds need to make their move before too long.
