Liverpool want Jobe Bellingham and have asked to be informed of his situation at Birmingham City, with the Sunday Mirror (15/5; page 72) reporting that Newcastle United also want the 16-year-old.

Bellingham has been given quite a daunting task. The teenager, of course, has plenty of eyes on him following the success his older brother Jude has enjoyed.

The Blues retired the elder brother’s shirt upon his departure for Borussia Dortmund. And he has gone on to establish himself as one of the most exciting talents in Europe.

He could even find himself back in England at some stage. Reports have claimed that Liverpool are favourites to sign him.

But he is not the only member of the family attracting the Reds’ attention. The Sunday Mirror (15/5; page 72) reports that Liverpool are also front-runners to sign Jobe Bellingham from St Andrew’s. They have asked to be kept informed of his situation.

Meanwhile, both Manchester City and Newcastle also want the attacking midfielder.

It is noted that he could sign a contract with other clubs from next season. Jude meanwhile, has previously spoken of his dream of having Jobe join him in Dortmund.

However, Birmingham are looking to hold onto him and have offered assurances about his development.

Liverpool want Jobe Bellingham

Liverpool have done some amazing business in the last few years. But they have also kept one eye on the future. And they have signed some outstanding prospects from the EFL.

Harvey Elliott has been amazing. Kaide Gordon is certainly making an impact on Merseyside. And Fabio Carvalho looks to have the potential to take the Premier League by storm next year.

That will surely not escape Bellingham’s attention if Liverpool come calling this summer.

And perhaps such a deal would also factor into any decision his brother makes if the Reds make a move in the future.
