Liverpool have already launched a bid for Borussia Dortmund and England central midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to reports in Spain.
Cadena Ser have reported on Real Madrid’s interest in the teenager, who started in the Three Lions’ humiliating 4-0 loss to Hungary last night.
They say that there is real keenness in Bellingham from the Bernabeu, and if they did not sign a striker this summer, they could even afford him before the transfer window closes.
But there are some problems for the European champions.

Liverpool bid for Bellingham
The first is that Dortmund are unwilling to part with Bellingham in the current transfer market.
They tend to sell one star player per summer and Erling Haaland has already departed for Manchester City.
The prospect that Madrid could agree a deal for Bellingham but allow Dortmund to keep him for one more season is mooted, but another issue is Liverpool.
The report says that the Reds have made a bid, which would add up to 100 million euros (£86.3 million).

How much can we read into this? Are Liverpool really going to go big again after sealing the Darwin Nunez transfer?
It would be out of character, but perhaps the club are looking to do all they can to get the Premier League from Manchester City and the Champions League from Madrid.
More likely would be that they are trying to lay the groundwork for a deal in 2023, for the player that Steven Gerrard says he is a huge fan of.
