Report: Leeds want Noa Lang decision soon
Leeds United want Noa Lang to make a decision on whether he wants to join the Whites soon, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Whites have held talks with Lang, who was named the Young Player of the Year in Belgium this season after an outstanding loan spell with Club Brugge.
He finished as their top goalscorer. The 21-year-old scored 17 times in all competitions, while he also provided 11 assists.
Lang finds himself in a strange position heading into this window. He is technically on loan with the Belgian club from Ajax.
But the Daily Mail reports that Club Brugge plan to make his move permanent before selling him for a quick profit.
And that seems to have encouraged Leeds. The Mail reports that talks with the Whites have been held.
Leeds are seemingly not looking to hang around however. The Daily Mail adds that Marcelo Bielsa’s side want a decision from Lang on his future soon.
Big statement if Leeds sign Lang
The Telegraph recently claimed that he is valued at around £20 million. So it would be quite a statement from Leeds to pursue a move in this window.
He could potentially become one of the club’s most expensive signings of all-time.
But he does look to be the kind of player that Bielsa would welcome the chance to work with.
He can play on either wing, up front or in the number 10 role. So there are a number of avenues Bielsa could pursue if he is tasked with taking Lang’s game to the next level.
Leeds will seemingly receive clarity on Lang’s plans in very the near future.
That could be very good news if he does end up at Elland Road. Having a full pre-season is clearly a big plus for those who work under the Leeds boss.
And if he ultimately decides against a move, Leeds have more than enough to turn their attention elsewhere.
