Leeds United are reportedly interested in Torino’s Sasa Lukic and will ‘try’ to get him this summer.
What’s the story?
According to TUTTOmercatoWEB, the Whites have joined Spartak Moscow in the race for the 24-year-old. Contact will be made this week over the Serie A outfit’s valuation of the player.
Leeds are not the only Premier League club reportedly in for the midfielder. Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace were in for the ace, who was fetching a fee of £8.5m.
Lukic joined the Turin-based outfit back in 2016 and has a contract until 2024, giving Torino a strong position in negotiations.

Central midfield needs strengthening for Leeds
Strength in depth isn’t too strong across the board for the Elland Road outfit.
That is no different in central midfield, where Leeds need strengthening amid alleged interest in Lukic.
Of their current options, Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips are the only out-and-out starters.
Aside from the duo, the remaining trio rarely featured in the Premier League last season. Between them, Adam Forshaw, Robbie Gotts and Jamie Shackleton featured just 13 times.
Bringing in Lukic would not only add a different option for Leeds, but also a dose of quality. The Serbia international was a mainstay for Torino last season, making 34 appearances across all competitions.
