Report: Spurs could sign Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic for less than £10m
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs could land Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic for less than £10m this summer.
Lukic is said to have emerged as a potential target for Jose Mourinho. The Serbian is seen as an ideal alternative to the in-demand RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.
TMW claimed over the weekend that Spurs were indeed interested in Lukic, along with Premier League compatriots, Crystal Palace.
And if latest reports are to be believed, Spurs could be set to bring Lukic in for less than £10m. TMW’s latest report, via Goal, that Torino would be willing to accept a bid in the region of £10m Euros for their man.
Lukic has 17 caps for Serbia and has been a regular for the Italian out in recent times. It is claimed Torino could be tempted into negotiations if ‘double digit’ offers come their way.
Spurs are keen to keep strengthening the squad this summer after a fairly hefty outlay last summer. And with a League Cup potentially in the bag, Jose Mourinho will no doubt be knocking on Daniel Levy’s door.
TBR View: Lukic a bargain at less than £10m, Spurs should move
You don’t get a good midfield player for less than that these days so if Torino are willing to sell, this could be a smart move by Spurs.
The 24-year-old would surely relish the chance of playing for a big club like Spurs, meaning his attitude should be spot on.
Spurs have had success with the less than glamorous signing of Pierre Hojbjerg. The addition of Lukic, then, could very much fall into a similar boat.
