Leeds United are seemingly on their way to replicating the deals for the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Amari Miller, with The Sun on Sunday (3/4; page 61) reporting that they lead the race to sign George Hall this summer.
Leeds’ first-team recruitment since Victor Orta arrived has come in for criticism. But they have done some outstanding work when it comes to strengthening their youth ranks at Elland Road.

Gelhardt is now regularly featuring for the first-team. And Jesse Marsch has continued to utilise the pathway Marcelo Bielsa created, with Sam Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville now regularly named on the bench.
Leeds landed another Championship prospect last summer, bringing in Miller from Birmingham City. And the winger has gone on to establish himself as a key player for the under-23s.

It would now appear that Leeds are looking to replicate that move when the window opens again.
Reports last year claimed that Leeds wanted Hall from the Blues. At the time, they faced competition from Newcastle and Southampton for the teenager.
And The Sun on Sunday (3/4; page 61) reports that Leeds now head the queue for the 17-year-old. They watched him on international duty during the break. And the report claims that he was the only non-Premier League player on show.
Signing Hall could be another exciting move from Leeds if they can get deal done
Hall has now signed a professional contract with Birmingham. So it may not be easy for his admirers to prise him away.
But clearly, it is an exciting time for young players to move to Elland Road.
Birmingham coach Martyn Olorenshaw suggested that he is a ‘really exciting‘ player, and labelled him ‘explosive’. He would seemingly be a great addition to Leeds’ midfield ranks.
It would seem that Leeds are now well-placed to sign Hall this summer.
