Report: Leeds want attacking midfield talent from 2021 signing's previous club; three PL rivals keen
Leeds and Newcastle United are amongst a raft of Premier League clubs keen on signing Birmingham City starlet George Hall, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Hall looks to be the latest in a lengthy line of extremely talented prospects coming through at St Andrew’s.
The 17-year-old has played for England at under-18 level. And he has made five appearances in the under-18 Premier League so far this term. He has also featured three times in Premier League 2.
Hall is yet to make his first-team debut with Lee Bowyer’s side. But it does appear that they are now set to face a fight to keep him.
The Daily Mail reports that Leeds, Newcastle, Brighton and Southampton all want the attacking midfielder.
The report claims that Birmingham will look to refuse anything other than a considerable offer. They obviously rate him highly and want to hand him a professional contract.
Leeds looking to replicate 2021 transfer as Whites eye George Hall?
Hall is not the first Birmingham player that Leeds have looked at this year. In fact, their interest may evoke a sense of deja vu for some.
Leeds signed Amari Miller from Blues in the summer. The winger joined after being offered a professional contract with the Championship side.
Miller has gone on to look incredibly lively with the under-23s. He has arguably been one of their players of the season so far.
Leeds may be hoping to persuade Hall to make the same move in one of the upcoming windows.
