Report: Leeds interested in Bayern Munich starlet Chris Richards
Leeds United are interested in another Bayern Munich player this summer, with 90min reporting that the Whites are one of the clubs monitoring Chris Richards.
The Whites have, so far, made three signings in this window. Meanwhile, reports on Thursday suggested that their fourth addition is just around the corner. Darko Gyabi is likely to undergo his medical on Friday.
Of course, one of Leeds’ signings came from Bayern with Marc Roca joining to bolster their midfield ranks. Meanwhile, they also signed one USMNT international in Brenden Aaronson.
And it seems that they have their eye on the player in the middle of that particular Venn diagram.
According to 90min, Richards is interested in leaving Bayern this summer. He is looking to secure regular game-time ahead of the World Cup later this year.
And a raft of clubs across Europe want the 22-year-old. 90min reports that Southampton and Brighton want the youngster. But there is also interest from Leeds.

Richards could have a very bright future ahead. He has gained some experience in the Bundesliga on loan with Hoffenheim.
He is a player Hansi Flick claimed had ‘very good qualities‘. So you can understand why Premier League sides are keen on signing Richards.
Having said that, Leeds making a move seems to make little sense as things stand. The Whites already boast a number of centre-back options. And they look to have much bigger priorities.
Perhaps Leeds will move one of their current defenders on. But in a summer when Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha are already looking set to move on, you would imagine that Jesse Marsch would prefer to avoid too much upheaval.
Much may depend on what kind of deal Bayern are willing to do for Richards this summer.
