Report: Darko Gyabi likely to have Leeds medical on Friday
Darko Gyabi is likely to have his Leeds United medical on Friday as the Whites close in on their fourth signing of the summer, according to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Of course, much of the talk surrounding Leeds and their transfer business right now centres around those potentially leave Elland Road. And it is looking increasingly likely that Kalvin Phillips will move away.
Phillips looks to be Manchester City-bound. He is set to finalise his move to the Etihad Stadium once he returns from holiday.
And he is not the only player set to move between the two clubs. He may not even be the first.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Leeds are set to sign Gyabi in a £5 million move. And the 18-year-old is likely to undergo his medical ahead of the switch on Friday.

Obviously, Leeds signing Gyabi is not going to alleviate concerns over the imminent departure of Phillips to Manchester City. The England international will leave a massive void when his exit is confirmed.
Gyabi however, is likely to start the campaign with the under-23 ranks. But he will also be aware that the pathway towards Jesse Marsch’s first-team is there for the teenager.
The likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood featured several times following the American’s appointment. And Crysencio Summerville was knocking on the door before he sustained an injury.
Leeds arguably need more quality in the middle of the park in their under-23 ranks. And Gyabi would provide that. He is incredibly highly rated, having been described as a ‘wonderful‘ talent.
But if everything goes to plan, he will be hoping that he is not a contender for the under-23 side for too long.
