Lazio have made contact with the entourage of Pierluigi Gollini ahead of the summer, but Tuttomercatoweb suggests that the goalkeeper could stay at Tottenham Hotspur next season.
Gollini is more than halfway through a loan spell in North London. He looked to be a smart signing after a superb spell with Atalanta.

However, he has been unable to force his way ahead of Hugo Lloris. Gollini is yet to make his Premier League debut for Tottenham. And Lloris has now signed a new contract ahead of next season.
With that, some may assume that Gollini is likely to return to Italy in the summer. And it would appear that one of Atalanta’s Serie A rivals are looking to make a move.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Lazio want the 26-year-old. And they have made contact with his representatives regarding a possible deal at the end of the season.
Interestingly, the report claims that Gollini could still stay at Tottenham next term. Spurs do have the option to make his move permanent.
Tottenham may fancy chances of signing better goalkeeper than Gollini, but keeping Lazio target cannot be ruled out
Gollini has failed to put real pressure on Lloris. But Tottenham would be right to keep their options open ahead of next season.
Antonio Conte’s men may have a better target lined up. They have been linked with players such as Sam Johnstone in recent times.
But it may not be easy to secure an upgrade with Lloris signed up for another year.
Another loan for Gollini may make sense for Tottenham. But if Lazio are prepared to put together a bid to sign him permanently, Spurs should perhaps prioritise other targets when the window opens.
The Italian has not done badly when he has had a chance. But he is perhaps not a player that they should put too much energy into keeping should Lazio make a strong move.
