Liverpool’s new manager Arne Slot faces some big decisions this summer and one of his top young players could now be on his way out.

Slot is now officially in charge of the Reds and has spent the last week getting to know the staff around Anfield and the training ground.

The players are not due back until the start of July, while some of his stars will be back even later thanks to their participation in the Euros.

Of course, a new manager often means a clean slate for players at any level.

And one of Liverpool’s top up and coming young midfielders will seek talks with Slot next week as he considers a move away this summer.

Sevilla among clubs keen on Liverpool’s Tyler Morton

According to a report from The Times, Morton is keen on exploring his options this summer and testing himself at a higher level.

Morton has excelled out on loan in recent seasons with both Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, with both sides using Morton as a regular in the second tier.

According to the Times, there are multiple clubs keen on signing Morton from abroad now.

RB Leipzig are in there, while Sevilla are also keen on exploring a move to La Liga for Morton.

It’s suggested the young midfielder – who Jurgen Klopp called ‘absolutely exceptional‘ – is keen to test himself at a higher level this season.

“I don’t want to make his life any more complicated than it is already, playing at such a young age for a club like Liverpool in a game like this with a performance like this.

“I think we should all calm down but it was really good tonight and a big pleasure to watch the boy playing.

“The football brain he showed tonight was absolutely exceptional.”

The 21-year-old is among the players due back in early July and will seek clarification from Arne Slot over his place in the Liverpool squad this coming season.

With players still away at the Euros, Morton will be keen to make an impression on Slot in those first weeks.
