Jules Kounde has rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur after reports emerged claiming the club had agreed on a deal.
News from Gianluca Di Marzio emerged late last night claiming the team had agreed on a €30m (£25.5m) plus Davinson Sanchez deal for the Frenchman.
However, according to Marca, the ace has flat-out turned down the north London outfit himself.
It is a bitter blow to Spurs as the side looked to reshape their defence ahead of the new season. Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier are looking to leave the club, while Ben Davies was reportedly a target for Napoli.

From elation to sadness in a matter of hours
It has gone from elation to sadness for Tottenham supporters after Kounde rejected a move.
If you ever wanted a sign of transfer changes in the world of football, this is the deal to look at.
Just last night, reliable transfer guru Di Marzio was claiming the north Londoners had agreed on terms with Sevilla for the defender.
And now hours later, Marca are claiming the France international has rejected a move.
It is easy to see why fans would have been elated over signing Kounde. His quality shone through for the Seville-based outfit last season. His versatility, coupled with his passing ability, has attracted a range of clubs all across Europe.
But it seems Tottenham aren’t one of the sides he is interested in joining due to their status on the continent. Kounde’s rejection highlights how far the Lilywhites have fallen since reaching the Champions League final in 2019.
