Report: Klopp set to start 'unbelievable' Liverpool player v Wolves as early team news emerges

The Daily Mail report the news that Alisson will be in the Liverpool starting team to face Wolves at Anfield tonight.

Caoimhín Kelleher has played in both EFL Cup matches this season and started in the FA Cup third and fourth round last season.

But the report claims Klopp is going as strong as he possibly can with his Reds team today, in what is probably their strongest remaining chance of silverware this season.

The title is gone and a major improvement in terms of consistency will be needed if they are to get to the Champions League final again, as they did last season.

Early Liverpool v Wolves team news emerges

The report says that the 24-year-old Republic of Irishman needs games but Klopp is going to start Alisson instead against Julen Lopetegui’s side.

New signing Cody Gakpo will also be involved and the report says he has impressed in Liverpool training already after joining from PSV.

Gakpo’s Dutch countryman Virgil van Dijk will miss this game with a hamstring injury and faces a number of weeks on the sidelines.

Alisson is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, and has been hailed as ‘unbelievable‘ by Steve McManaman before the World Cup.

It has been reported that third choice stopper Adrian could leave this month and it does not look like the FA Cup will be a route to gametime either.

Wolves are much improved already under Lopetegui and Liverpool will have to be far better than they were at Brentford on Monday to win here.
