Report: Kessie rejects Tottenham move after Paratici agrees deal
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with AC Milan over a January move for Franck Kessie, but Calciomercato reports that the midfielder has rejected the chance to leave this month.
Spurs’ need for signings has increased this week. Without Steven Bergwijn’s heroics on Wednesday, Antonio Conte’s men would have likely suffered four defeats in their last five in all competitions.
Surprisingly, Conte is yet to bring in a first-team signing this month. But with no game for nearly two weeks, Tottenham fans will be hoping that Fabio Paratici proves to be incredibly busy in the coming days.

Unfortunately for Paratici, it would appear that one deal he has agreed will not come to fruition – just yet.
Calciomercato has claimed that Conte sees Kessie as the perfect signing. And with that, Paratici stepped up Spurs’ pursuit of the midfielder.
The report claims that a move with Milan has been agreed. However, Kessie has apparently decided that he wants to stay put this month. He hopes to help the Rossoneri win the Scudetto.
And it is suggested that he is not keen to think about his future while away on international duty.
He has made it clear that he intends to stay until the summer. Of course, his contract with the Serie A side expires at the end of the campaign.
Huge blow for Tottenham to not land Kessie, but agreement will give Spurs fans hope
Clearly, it is a huge disappointment if Tottenham have indeed agreed a deal for Kessie only to be snubbed. He is a fantastic player. And there is surely going to be huge interest in him heading into the summer.
Tottenham fans will hope however, that there is an upside to the reports. Paratici stepped up and agreed a deal when Conte made it clear that he wanted Kessie.
Spurs fans will hope that they react to missing out on Kessie by swiftly stepping up their pursuits of other targets.
