Juventus are hoping to be able to sell Everton and Spurs-linked Merih Demiral this summer as they look to sign Nikola Milenkovic.

The Turkish star has been touted for a move away from Turin for some time now. Just this week, we reported on TBR how Everton were in pole position to land Demiral. Spurs, too, are also in the mix.

And now, a report from Calciomercato has claimed that Juventus are now pushing ahead with selling Demiral. The Italian giants want to reshape some of their squad this summer.

Demiral is seen as one of the players who can leave. Juve hope that his sale can help fund a move for Nikola Milenkovic. Coincidentally, the Serbian has also been linked with a move to England.

23-year-old Demiral played for Turkey on Friday as they lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 opener. The Juventus man made just the 15 Serie A appearances last term, though.

Known for being a central defender by trade, Demiral can also slot in at right-back if needed.

Everton are set to appoint Nuno Santo as manager. Whether the former Wolves boss will still pursue Demiral, then, remains to be seen.

Demiral a good player, despite nightmare Euros start

Hopefully, Everton fans won’t just judge Demiral on the performance against Italy. He’s far better than he showed on Friday. Italy were just better, simply.

But if Juventus do want to sell, there’s a lot to be gained by signing the Turkish star. Not only is he versatile, but this is a defender coming from one of – if not the – top dog in Italy.

At 23, he’s ample time to bed in and get even better as well. The Toffees will want new signings for their new manager. And if Demiral is available, the could do a lot worse.
