Report: Gabriel keen to join Juventus with Arsenal open to sale
Gabriel Magalhaes is very keen to join Juventus with Arsenal becoming increasingly open to the idea of selling the defender, according to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport.
Arsenal fans are coming to terms with the defeat that looks set to end their hopes of qualifying for next year’s Champions League.
It is a devastating blow for the Gunners given how late in the campaign it is, and who looks set to snatch fourth spot in the Premier League from them.
However, Arsenal are a side building towards something. There is unlikely to be any kind of mass exodus of key players this summer. Instead, the Gunners’ key men are likely to see this year as a big step forward and hope for another next year – once the dust settles.
There are some who may leave however. And one of those who, surprisingly, looks to be increasingly likely to move on is Gabriel.
Reports recently claimed that Arsenal are warming to the idea of selling the Brazilian amid interest from Juventus and Barcelona.
And Tuttosport has now added to this, suggesting that Gabriel is very open to joining Juve. He is aware that the Old Lady want him this summer.
Gabriel very keen to join Juventus
Of course, it is hard to see Arsenal selling Gabriel – who cost £27 million – this summer. He has been Arsenal’s best centre-back this season, and been described as ‘incredible‘ by Arteta. And cashing in on him would baffle a lot of supporters.
But you could now understand if he was prepared to keep his options open. Juve can offer Champions League football next year. And he may feel that the time is right to move on if a good offer comes in.
Arsenal fans, on the other hand, will hope that there is nothing in the reports coming from Italy at the moment.
