‘Absolutely frightening’: Jack Grealish says it’s scary how good player Liverpool want to sign is

The World Cup has offered Liverpool the opportunity to see some of the transfer targets play at the highest level.

England star Jack Grealish has been speaking to ITV about one of those reported players.

After today’s matches, just eight teams will remain in the competition.

Premier League sides are now back in training, with the league restarting in less than three weeks.

The transfer window opens shortly after that, and the World Cup has put plenty of players in the spotlight.

Liverpool have been closely linked with one of the players of the tournament; Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old has started every game for England, and stood out throughout the tournament.

Grealish admitted he’s been really impressed with Bellingham, and can’t believe how good he already is.

The Borussia Dortmund teenager is set to attract interest from the world’s biggest clubs.

Liverpool will be hoping they can convince him that a move to Anfield is the correct next step.

Grealish has been so impressed with Bellingham

The Manchester City star has managed to put his Birmingham rivalry aside to praise Bellingham, saying: “Yeah, he’s brilliant. He’s got everything. The only thing he hasn’t got is he isn’t a Villa fan, he’s a Bluenose!

“He’s a top, top lad. He’s such a good guy. So mature in the way he plays, he can defend, tackle, run with the ball, score goals. He can do anything, honestly.

“I don’t know if he’s got better. I knew he would shine at this tournament but I feel like he’s matured in the way he plays.

“If he keeps going in the way he is he’ll be absolutely frightening.”

Bellingham has shown in Qatar he can play a number of roles in midfield to an incredible standard.

He opened the scoring for England against Iran, and was instrumental in England’s second goal against Senegal.

The 19-year-old has already shown he can handle a huge amount of expectation on his shoulders.

It’s no wonder Grealish has been so impressed by Bellingham, as has fellow youngster Bukayo Saka.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are likely to challenge Liverpool for Bellingham’s signature in the summer.

If Liverpool can get a deal over the line, it would be an incredible piece of business.
