Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur has been hugely impressed with Cristián Romero since the moment he arrived in the summer, while The Athletic reports that some expect him to have a transformative impact on the club.
It appeared to be a huge coup for Spurs to sign Romero in the summer. He arrived having been named as the best defender in Serie A last season. And he also managed to help Argentina win the Copa America.

However, he seemed to make a quiet start to life in North London. He sustained an injury after just one Premier League game under Antonio Conte.
But he has been colossal of late. And of course, no performance was better than his showing at the weekend as Spurs beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Romero actually gave away a penalty that looked set to deny Tottenham a victory. However, Harry Kane then went down the other end and scored a stoppage-time winner.
For many, it would have seemed deeply unfair had Romero been responsible for costing Tottenham the three points. But there is no doubt that he would have bounced back had the game ended at 2-2.
He has certainly made a huge impact. The Athletic reports that everyone has been impressed with the Argentinian since his arrival in the summer.
In fact, the report adds that some Serie A insiders believed that Romero could be as transformative at Tottenham as Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool or Ruben Dias at Manchester City.
Romero could be a scary signing for Tottenham if he even gets near living up to expectations
It is frightening to think about how good Romero could become. Antonio Conte suggested that he is perfect for the Premier League.
He is only 23 years of age. And Romero is still in the early stages of his Tottenham career.
Spurs fans have however, already had a glimpse of how good he could be. If he gets close to living up to full expectations, he could certainly be a game-changer for the club.
