Report: 'Incredible' Tottenham player's agent has just told PL club that they can sign him this summer
The Evening Standard report that the former Lyon man’s representatives have told the Magpies they can sign him this summer.
The report also says that Spurs are prepared for Ndombele’s future not to be decided until the very last day of the transfer window.
That is despite the fact he has been left out of the club’s pre-season tour and has not played any part under Antonio Conte.
Ndombele offered to Newcastle
But the report says that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is not convinced about the prospect about signing Ndombele.
That is despite being one midfielder short until after the World Cup because of the injury suffered by Jonjo Shelvey.
Newcastle have been trying to grow slowly and methodically since the takeover and avoid any expensive missteps on their way up.
Ndombele was recently labelled by Declan Rice as being an ‘incredible’ talent, but a move away suits all parties because he just does not have many prospects under Conte.
It is not surprising that Howe has doubts over whether Ndombele is suitable for what he is trying to do, because he has struggled with the intensity of English football.
It may be the case that a move abroad is best for the Frenchman, although his loan back to Lyon for the second half of last season did not see him set the world alight.
