Report: Everton want Ismaila Sarr; face Newcastle and Palace battle

Everton want Ismaila Sarr, with Jeunes Footeux reporting that Toffees are amongst a group of Premier League sides keen on the Watford star along with Newcastle United.

It would be no surprise to see Sarr leave Watford this summer. The Hornets are heading back to the Championship after another difficult campaign in the Premier League.

Sarr certainly did not play as much as Watford would have wanted. The 24-year-old only featured 22 times in the top-flight, scoring five times.

He did not have the best year. But that has not stopped a number of sides from gearing up to prepare a move for the attacker ahead of the summer.

Reports claimed that Newcastle met with Sarr’s agents. And Jeunes Footeux reports that the Magpies face competition from Everton and Palace. Watford meanwhile, value Sarr at least £30 million.

Obviously, Everton will hope that Sarr emulates a former Watford player if he makes the move to Goodison Park. Of course, the signing of Richarlison has proved to be a rare success story in the market for the Toffees in recent years.

His goals proved to be pivotal in Everton staying up this year. And he is one of their special players.

Sarr has shown that he can definitely make a devastating impact at the highest level. He is a ‘frightening‘ player who has already proved himself in the Premier League.

Certainly, he could prove to be a real bargain if he moves for around £30 million. It would be little surprise if several more top-flight sides were monitoring his situation ahead of the window opening.

And he could definitely be a very exciting signing for Everton if Frank Lampard’s men end up winning the race for his signature.
