Richarlison has reportedly been told he will not be allowed to leave Everton this summer.

What’s the story?

According to Goal Brasil, Everton don’t intend to open negotiations over an exit for the ace.

Reports earlier in the summer claimed Carlo Ancelotti was keen on a reunion with the attacker. However, the Toffees quoted the Spanish giants £90m to sign the winger.

But, now, it seems the chances of the Brazil international leaving are very slim.

The star has made a swift return to training after competing at the Copa America and Tokyo Olympics. Reports claimed the South American gave up his holidays to be able to compete in Japan.

Neymar has previously called Richarlison a ‘really great’ player before.

Not allowing Richarlison to leave is wise

When you possess great talents, letting them leave will always weaken your team.

In that regard, not allowing Richarlison to move on is a great decision from Everton.

It seems that, despite slapping a hefty price tag on the player, he will not be allowed to depart. The Blues are showing great intent as they look to make their way in Europe.

In a summer where the only attacking reinforcements have been Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray, keeping the Brazilian is wise.

Neither player have shone in recent years, leaving question marks over the signings. It clearly shows a lack of quality options in the transfer market as Everton took the cheap route.

Richarlison is one of Everton’s best players. His age and quality make him an unsellable asset to Rafael Benitez, so, it is heartwarming to hear the club want to keep him.
