Everton hope to soon announce that Nathan Broadhead has signed a new two-year contract at Goodison Park, according to a report from The Athletic.
The 23-year-old has made a handful of first-team appearances for the Toffees, including one last season.

However, he enjoyed an outstanding campaign for the under-23s. He scored 11 goals in 19 appearances in Premier League 2.
According to The Athletic, his performances caught the eye of Carlo Ancelotti and his team. And they were reportedly influential in making sure that Broadhead was offered fresh terms.
In fact, The Athletic claims that Ancelotti had intended to use the Wales under-21 starlet more often in the final weeks of the season.

It was previously reported that he had been offered fresh terms a few weeks ago. His current deal expires this summer.
And despite Ancelotti moving on, it appears that Broadhead remains on course to sign an extension.
According to The Athletic, the club are expected to announce a new contract for the forward.
Broadhead potentially one of the bigger losers at Everton following Ancelotti’s exit as new contract nears
It often appears ominous for academy players if they are not in the first-team fold by their early twenties.
So Broadhead must have surely feared initially that he was set to be on the move this summer.
However, he had seemingly won Ancelotti and his team over. And that fear may have made way for optimism.
Unfortunately, he is now back in an uncertain situation. A new manager is set to come in. He may need to prove himself once again.
A two-year deal does not necessarily need to bring an end to speculation. So if he is not in the fold, it may not take much for another side to make a move.
And of course, Broadhead may not need to give up on his Everton hopes.
He won Ancelotti over. He can do that again when the new boss comes in.
