It could be a very exciting end to the transfer window for Everton.

The Toffees have already made six signings this summer, with Neal Maupay the latest player to arrive at Goodison Park.

And the Daily Mail are reporting that Everton have made an approach for another attacker.

The report suggests that Everton have made a loan move for Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze.

Frank Lampard’s side would also have an obligation to buy that could cost up to £43m.

Everton have been walking a financial fair play tightrope this summer, and so an initial loan move makes sense.

Amadou Onana has already joined for £33.5m, and Burnley’s Dwight McNeil was signed for £20m.

These fees have been covered by Richarlison’s move to Tottenham, but Everton can’t afford to spend lavishly this summer.

Everton make approach for Chukwueze

Alongside an approach for Chukwueze, Everton are also in the running for a few more players before the window shuts.

Manchester United’s James Garner could soon be on his way to Everton.

Wolves’ forward Hwang Hee-chan is another name being linked with a move to Goodison Park.

However, bringing in Chukwueze would be the most exciting move of the lot.

The 23-year-old has been described as having an ‘amazing football brain’, and is an exciting player to watch.

The Nigerian international has already scored in the Europa Conference League this season against Hajduk Split.

He’s also come off the bench in every match for Villarreal, who currently sit fourth in La Liga.

Capable of playing on either wing, a combination of Anthony Gordon and Chukwueze on the wings would be mouth-watering for Everton fans.

The Toffees certainly need some attacking reinforcements having only managed four goals in their five league games.

An injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t helped matters, but Chukwueze would certainly give Lampard’s side a boost.

Only time will tell if Everton’s approach for Chukwueze is successful, but time is running out for a deal to be done.
