Report: Everton have now spoken to Wolves about Hwang Hee-chan move

Everton have now spoken to Wolves about a potential move for Hwang Hee-chan as the Toffees look to potentially beat Leeds to the signature of the South Korean, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Toffees look set to be one of the busier sides in the final hours of the transfer window. Of course, Frank Lampard is yet to get the chance to unleash Neal Maupay following his Goodison Park switch.

Reports on Wednesday claimed that they are closing in on a deal for Idrissa Gueye and an agreement for James Garner. But Everton are not done there, it seems.

The Daily Mail reports Everton have now made contact with Wolves about a possible deal for Hwang. The 26-year-old is also wanted by Leeds, who also need a new forward before the deadline.

Everton have spoken to Wolves about Hwang

It would not be a surprise to see Hwang leave Molineux before the deadline. Wolves are set to sign Sasa Kalajdzic. And Hwang’s asking price is said to be just £15 million.

He has not been too prolific in the Premier League, scoring five times since his move last summer. But his price-tag takes a lot of the risk out of a potential move. And he has been described as ‘devastating‘.

Maupay is a very good signing for the Toffees. But signing another striker would be a sensible move given the problems Dominic Calvert-Lewin has endured with injury.

And obviously, Everton are not able to splash the cash this summer. So a move for Hwang could be an extremely shrewd piece of business as the deadline looms.
