Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with The Sun reporting that Everton plan to cash in on the striker in the summer.
It has been a hugely disappointing season for Calvert-Lewin and Everton. The Toffees remain right in the fight to stay in the Premier League. And the forward’s form has been a real issue.

He has missed a large part of the campaign due to injury. But in the 10 league games he has been available, he has only found the back of the net on three occasions.
Nevertheless, he is attracting plenty of interest. Arsenal and West Ham both have their eye on Calvert-Lewin ahead of the summer.

Previous reports have claimed that Everton have wanted at least £70 million for the England international. However, their actual asking price could be considerably less.
The Sun reports that Calvert-Lewin will leave this summer. And Everton may accept less than £60 million for the 25-year-old.
It is also noted that his big wages would not be a problem for Arsenal or West Ham.
Arsenal and West Ham in strong position with Calvert-Lewin
Of course, that may not be the end of the matter with Calvert-Lewin’s asking price. If Everton do go down, it is going to be incredibly difficult for Frank Lampard’s men to demand nearly £60 million.
However, if they stay up, it may well be Calvert-Lewin has found some form and bagged some key goals. This is a player Carlo Ancelotti previously labelled ‘fantastic‘.
So either Arsenal and West Ham are looking at paying even less or they may end up signing a striker who received a late boost in confidence.
