Everton are interested in signing Emmanuel Dennis to replace Richarlison, who swapped Goodison Park for Tottenham this week.
The Evening Standard report that the Watford hitman is an option for Frank Lampard as he looks to recover from the loss of his talisman.
Dennis cost £3 million when Watford signed him last summer, but the report says that the Hornets are holding out for a fee closer to £20 million.
Everton of course have that cash after selling Richarlison, but it is all about what they can reinvest and what they need to balance the books with Financial Fair Play concerns.

Everton want Dennis
The report also says that Villarreal are keen on Dennis, having made the Champions League semi-finals last season.
Dennis was also reportedly on Everton’s radar before he joined Watford, when Carlo Ancelotti was in the Goodison Park hotseat.
Everton were keen, along with Arsenal and Southampton, before Dennis moved to Vicarage Road.
He impressed last season, but was unable to prevent Watford dropping straight back into the Championship.

Newcastle and West Ham have also been linked with Dennis ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
But both clubs seem to have moved onto other targets now, such as Armando Broja, who shone on loan at Southampton last term.
Of course, Everton raided Watford for Richarlison in the first place and now could well be doing the same to replace him.
