Report: Everton and West Ham now want to sign striker with £103m release clause, he's available for £30m

Everton and West Ham United could be set for another transfer tussle this summer over striker Goncalo Ramos.

90Min report that there are a host of Premier League clubs chasing the Benfica hitman, who has started the season on fire.

Newcastle United are also keen on the striker, as they continue their attempts to bring fresh firepower to St James’ Park.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain have already beaten them to Hugo Ekitike, and want to sign Ramos ahead of the Magpies too.

Everton and West Ham want Goncalo Ramos

Everton won the most recent transfer battle with West Ham, getting the signing of Amadou Onana over the line to bolster their midfield.

The Toffees need a new striker to replace Richarlison, while the Hammers have signed Gianluca Scamacca but have European football to contend with.

Ramos scored three goals in two Champions League play-off games before chipping in with two assists in his side’s league opener against Arouca.

It has been reported that he has a huge £103 million release clause in his Benfica contract, which would make him even more expensive than former teammate Darwin Nunez.

But the 90Min report says he would cost in the region of £30 million this summer if he was to come to the Premier League.

Leeds United are another club apparently on the case as they look to try and replace the threat of Raphinha, who has left for Barcelona.
