Richarlison is reportedly doing some “soul-searching” about his Everton future following the exit of Carlo Ancelotti.

The Toffees are on the search for a new manager after Italian boss Ancelotti walked away earlier this week to rejoin Spanish giants Real Madrid.

According to the Athletic, Richarlison is one of the Everton players that took the news badly.

The report says the 24-year-old and his camp are now debating his future. Additionally, the future of teammate James Rodriguez is also now in doubt.

With the speculation suggesting Richarlison could leave, Everton are facing a crucial summer.

The Brazilan forward is one of the key figures at Goodison Park, so it’s vital his future is secure. He scored 13 goals in all competitions this season, but offers so much more than just that with his overall work-rate and creativity.

Richarlison, along with Rodriguez, are two players Everton need to keep happy.

Next Everton manager needs to match ambition of key players such as Richarlison

For Everton, it’s a big shock they now find themselves looking for a new manager.

Ancelotti is no longer on Merseyside after returning to European heavyweights Madrid. His high-profile status meant it was always a risk.

Unfortunately, Everton are now in a sticky situation.

Left-winger Richarlison is an ambitious young player with the personality of a top player. Ultimately, Ancelotti is not the man to take him up to the next level.
