Danny Mills has claimed that Leeds United ace Patrick Bamford reminds him of Chelsea’s Timo Werner.
Aged 27, Bamford has just enjoyed the best season of his career to date.
The centre-forward scored 17 goals in 38 Premier League appearances this campaign and has finally managed to crack the top tier. However, plenty were disappointed he missed out on an England call-up for Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, Werner is fresh off the back of helping Chelsea clinch the Champions League.
The 25-year-old forward has been heavily criticised during parts of his debut year in England, but it was a great ending for him.
He’s a £45million speedster that is a massive threat with his movement and running. He finished the season with 12 goals and 15 assists in 52 games across all competitions.
TalkSPORT pundit and ex-Leeds defender Mills has compared the duo.
“He’s like Timo Werner at times. He does so much for the team but he does miss chances,” he told talkSPORT.

Bamford amazing for Leeds this season
Obviously, Werner and Bamford are two forwards that give everything on the pitch.
Bamford, along with all the players at Elland Road, runs his socks off each 90 minutes.
His all-round game is excellent so seeing him sharpen up in front of goal is a massive bonus.
Unfortunately, all the graft and hard work Werner does every single game can be overclouded by the fact his finishing is hugely inconsistent.
