Barcelona are ‘contemplating’ whether Ousmane Dembele can secure a transfer to Manchester City.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are in talks with the player’s representatives over his future. The club are thought to be explaining their plans to the winger.

His profile is thought to be one that Pep Guardiola likes. However, the Frenchman has shown no signs of wanting to leave Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are running out of time with the 24-year-old’s contract expiring next summer.

Dembele enjoyed a better year last term after what has been an injury-ravaged career in Spain.

He played 44 times across all competitions, scoring 11 times and assisting five.

A transfer for Dembele would be a smart move from Manchester City.

The player has just one year left on his contract, so would come at a cut-price fee. It would help the Citizens given their current financial situation.

The move would also help freshen up the attack ahead of the new Premier League season.

Dembele has seemingly stalled after showing immense promise at Borussia Dortmund. But, that’s through no fault of his own with the Spanish giants having underperformed massively in recent seasons.

He still possesses a great deal of talent and Guardiola could well be the best coach to get the best out of him.

A cut-price fee, bags of talents and just 24-years-old. The France international would be an astute addition this summer.
