Aston Villa recorded an impressive victory over Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, thanks to goals from Emi Buendia and Douglas Luiz.
It was a well-deserved win, with Unai Emery’s side capitalising on a disappointing performance from Antonio Conte’s men.
The win opens up a seven-point gap between Villa and the relegation zone after a shaky start to the season.
Finishing in the top half will now be the minimum aim for Villa, who are also eyeing a number of upgrades in the January transfer window.
Emery was able to welcome back goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to the matchday squad yesterday.

Although Olsen impressed yesterday, it’s likely that Martinez will be back in the side against Wolves.
The 30-year-old was sensational at the World Cup, and further enhanced his reputation.

Olsen’s form has been shaky for Villa, but he put in a great performance when it really mattered yesterday.
