Tottenham will be missing out on Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer as the Italian stopper edges closer to a transfer to PSG.
The goalkeeper is set to leave Milan for nothing. A number of clubs have expressed an interest, but it seems PSG have won the race.
As reported on TBR last week, new Spurs supremo Fabio Paratici wanted to bring Donnarumma to the club. However, the breakdown of a move for Antionio Conte put paid to that more or less straight away.

And now, Foot Mercato have claimed that Donnarumma will earn an impressive £200k-a-week in Paris. Those wages, of course, would have put him right at the top of the food chain with Spurs.
Donnarumma kept an impressive clean sheet on the opening night of the Euros this weekend. Despite having little to do, he was an assured presence as the Italians saw off Turkey 3-0.
Spurs, meanwhile, seem to be heading closer to appointing Paulo Fonseca as their new manager. Paratici was confirmed over the weekend, with an offer said to be on the table for Fonseca to now sign.
Donnarumma transfer was always a long shot for Tottenham
This really would have been a statement signing from Paratici but in reality, it was always a long shot.
The Italian stopper is one of the best in the world. With that, he’ll want to play for the very best teams, including those who can challenge for the Champions League and domestic titles.
Sadly for Spurs, they aren’t doing that at the moment. Plus, those £200k-a-week wages are a big ask for Daniel Levy and his board.
Donnarumma will, no doubt, go on to be a huge success in France. The PSG squad has some serious talent. And now they’ve added one of the best stoppers in the world, that Champions League title could be within their grasp.
