The Telegraph claim that Tottenham Hotspur will now be paying Son Heung-min a whopping £192,000 a week in wages. The South Korea skipper put pen to paper on Friday , signing a deal that will keep him at Spurs until 2025. Son has got himself a big pay rise, earning £10million a year.
Son, who turns 30 in August, had entered the final two years of his Tottenham contract. But now, he has penned a deal that keeps him with the London club for what would be a decade, having signed in 2015. In his six years at Spurs so far, Son has clocked up an impressive 280 appearances.
On the same day that reports emerged Harry Kane is closing in on a whopping £160million move to Manchester City, Son’s deal was announced. The report from Mike McGrath states that Son will get £10million a year, or £192,000 a week – before bonuses and add-ons are even discussed.

Son brilliant business by Tottenham and Paratici, despite big wages
It is not brilliant business because of the specific wage, but because it is probably the most-important signing Spurs could make this summer. With Kane likely to go now, keeping Son was even more important. His goals and connection with the fans meant a new deal was absolutely crucial.
Had Tottenham let it go further than this summer, Son would have began to get glances from other clubs. Spurs would have had to sell next summer to get even a half-decent price for Son. Even without Europa League football, Son had signed – and Fabio Paratici deserves enormous credit.
