Denzel Dumfries has now rejected the chance to join Everton with Inter Milan accelerating their push to sign the Dutchman in the last few days, according to a report from Calciomercato.It.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for Dumfries this summer. The 25-year-old was outstanding for the Netherlands at Euro 2020.

It was previously reported that talks had been held over a move for the PSV Eindhoven skipper.
Everton are looking for a further addition at right-back with Seamus Coleman now into the twilight of his career.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that Dumfries will fill that void.

According to Calciomercato. It, he has rejected the Toffees. Instead, he looks set to join Inter.
A move to San Siro has accelerated since it became apparent that Romelu Lukaku was leaving. The Nerazzurri are set to pay around £13.5 million for the defender.
Blow for Everton to miss out on Dumfries
Everton still have time to focus their attention elsewhere. But it does look to be a real blow to miss out on Dumfries.
He has been excellent for club and country in recent years. And Inter are not having to part with a large sum to get a deal done.
Of course, there is potentially little more the Toffees could have done. This latest report would suggest that he always had his heart set on moving to Milan.
Perhaps Everton could have acted sooner. But they spent the large majority of June without a manager. So that certainly would have derailed their transfer plans.
Everton fans will hope the club have something up their sleeve now that Dumfries looks to be heading for Serie A.
