Report: Crystal Palace join race for £12.8m Tottenham target who plays like Harry Kane
According to BUT Football Club, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea.
What’s the story?
Well, Patrick Vieira’s side seem to have joined Tottenham in the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach’s No.14.
It was le10sport who revealed that Tottenham are interested in the France international.
Now, Tottenham’s fellow Londoners are also keen.
BUT Football Club believe Lyon and Rennes are also interested in the 28-year-old.
As a result, Borussia Monchengladbach have slapped a €15m (£12.8m) price tag on their forward’s head.
BUT Football Club claim Plea could be sold, in order for the Bundesliga outfit to balance their finances.
Who does Alassane Plea play like?
You might not know much about Plea, so it’s helpful that the Bundesliga have made a comparison to a household name.
When profiling the attacker, the Bundesliga’s official website likened him to Harry Kane, in what is a very bold claim to make.
The Bundesliga mention his robustness on the ball, and his ability to know what’s around him with his back to goal, as similar traits to Kane’s game.
Additionally, Plea also isn’t a bad finisher.
He scored 12 goals last season.
If Crystal Palace managed to bring Plea to Selhurst Park, it could certainly be considered a real coup.
