Real Madrid are fully aware that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to sign Martin Odegaard, ESPN report.
Arteta pushing
Rumours that Odegaard could return to Arsenal have stepped up a gear this week, after going quiet early in the summer.
AS Sport and Football London both say that Odegaard is keen to join Arsenal again.
But ESPN claim that Madrid are hoping to change their playmaker’s mind and get him to stay.
Big money offer to come?
Los Blancos would be willing to sell Odegaard if an offer of £42 million came in or if he really tried to force through a move, but at the moment neither of those things have happened.
That being said, Madrid sources apparently feel that the next fortnight is set to determine Odegaard’s future at the club.

While they don’t feel that a move is imminent, Madrid apparently believe that they are running out of time to persuade Odegaard to stay.
If Arsenal were to land him on a permanent basis then Odegaard could be an extremely appealing addition to their squad.
The 22-year-old showed real flashes of potential and quality last term.
He is clearly a player who Arteta trusts, as he was quickly given a key role at the Emirates Stadium last term.
And if Arsenal were to bring him back on a permanent basis, he would be another exciting youngster for the Gunners to develop in the coming years.
